Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Delhi — New Delhi highlights
DelhiArrive in Delhi and settle into your hotel in Connaught Place, Aerocity, or the greener South Delhi side—ideal for smooth airport/rail access and easy sightseeing. After a short refresh, start with a gentle orientation around India Gate and a drive past the grand government avenues near Rashtrapati Bhavan. Later, dive into Delhi’s architectural icons with Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar—two masterpieces that set the tone for North India’s layered history.
Day 2: Old Delhi immersion
DelhiToday is all about Old Delhi’s energy. Visit Jama Masjid and then hop on a rickshaw through Chandni Chowk—threading spice lanes, silver shops, and market streets that feel like a living museum. If you’d like a quiet historical pause, stop at Raj Ghat, and then end with a calm, soulful visit to Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, including a glimpse of the community kitchen (langar).
Day 3: Delhi → Agra — Taj area
AgraDrive to Agra via the Yamuna Expressway (typically around 3–4 hours). Check in near the Taj area for easy access to the monument at the best times of day. In the afternoon, explore Agra Fort—palaces, courtyards, and legendary viewpoints that frame the Taj in the distance. As evening approaches, enjoy a sunset Taj view from Mehtab Bagh across the river or along riverside paths for golden-hour photos.
Day 4: Sunrise Taj → Ranthambore (via Fatehpur Sikri)
Ranthambore (Sawai Madhopur)Wake early for the main event: the Taj Mahal at sunrise, when the light is soft and the atmosphere feels almost unreal. After the visit, begin your journey toward Ranthambore, breaking the drive with a stop at Fatehpur Sikri—an extraordinary Mughal complex with Buland Darwaza, Jama Masjid, and the marble tomb of Salim Chishti. Arrive in Sawai Madhopur and check into your wildlife lodge. The evening is for slowing down—pool time, a quiet drink, and that pre-safari excitement.
Day 5: Ranthambore safaris
Ranthambore (Sawai Madhopur)Start before dawn for your first game drive—Ranthambore is at its most magical in the early hours. Your guide and driver track movement through the forest and around lakes where tigers are often spotted, along with leopards, deer, and abundant birdlife. Return to the lodge to rest through the heat of the day, then head out again in the afternoon for a second safari. Two drives significantly increase your chances of memorable wildlife moments.
Day 6: Fort views → Jaipur
JaipurThis morning, visit Ranthambore Fort and the Ganesh Temple for panoramic views over the park’s forests and lakes—an unforgettable perspective on the landscape you explored on safari. Later, drive to Jaipur (typically 4–5 hours). In the evening, take a first look at the Pink City—often with a photo stop at the beautifully lit Hawa Mahal from outside.
Day 7: Jaipur forts & palaces
JaipurBegin early at Amber Fort, climbing up by jeep/4x4 and exploring its grand courtyards and the sparkling Sheesh Mahal. On the way back, pause at Jal Mahal for classic lake-and-palace photos. In the afternoon, continue into Jaipur’s royal heart with City Palace and the nearby Jantar Mantar observatory—an easy, walkable pairing that blends heritage with science and storytelling.
Day 8: Jaipur bazaars & sunset viewpoints
JaipurCatch the Hawa Mahal façade in soft morning light, with the option to step inside if you’d like. Then it’s time for Jaipur’s bazaars—Bapu Bazaar and Johari Bazaar are perfect for textiles, jewellery, block prints, and locally made crafts. If you’re up for a final wow moment, head to Nahargarh or Jaigarh toward sunset for sweeping views over the city’s pink skyline.
Day 9: Jaipur → Delhi — fly out
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and some last-minute shopping or café time before your departure transfer. Depending on your flight plan, you can travel back to Delhi for an onward international connection. If preferred, this can also be adjusted to end in Jaipur with a flight from Jaipur airport—your schedule, your pace.
